Two July trips gave us Barcelona at full simmer: Disfrutar before the third star landed, La Balmesina's slow-fermented pies, and a bar scene (The Alchemix, Punch Room) that treats cocktails like tapas—small, precise, dangerous in sequence. Gaudí queues are real; book Sagrada Família at opening and eat late like you mean it.
