San Miguel in May was golden hour all day—the pink parroquia, rooftop margaritas, and Bekeb's mezcal cocktails leading our bar visit. Tacos Don Felix runs a weekend-only home operation worth planning around, and the La Casa Dragones tequila tasting is the splurge.
We stayed at two hotels including the Rosewood San Miguel de Allende (book early), ate at six restaurants from Raíces Restaurante SMA to Carnitas Bautista, and wandered into six shops like Claudia Bo Designs. The whole town is a UNESCO postcard, and we mapped every place we actually visited.
