Mexico City — Where We Ate & Drank

Mexico City travel guide

We've eaten our way through Mexico City over 3 trips—24 restaurants, 12 bars, and a taco scene that refuses to quit. From El Cardenal to Ling Ling by Hakkasan.

Three trips to CDMX, two of them wrapped around Día de Muertos, and the city still out-eats almost everywhere. Our saves run from El Cardenal's breakfast institution to Kaito del Valle's Japanese-Mexican cocktails—part of a bar scene with 14 Top-500 entries. The altitude is real; the taquería El Gran Abanico is realer.

We've mapped 24 restaurants and 12 bars across neighborhoods we actually walked, plus a handful of museums and markets worth the detour. This is Mexico City through the places we returned to, not a bucket list we copied.
