Yerevan in August was lavash theater at the eponymous restaurant, apricots at the Vernissage market, and brandy history at the Noy factory—with Ararat hovering on the horizon like a rumor Armenia never stops telling. Tavern Yerevan does the feast; DABOO the cocktails. Garni temple and Geghard monastery make the essential half-day out.
