San Salvador — Where We Ate & Drank

San Salvador in January was pupusas from comedor counters, volcano views from Las Brumas, and a food scene stretching its legs after hard decades. Tacos Hermanos and Pizza Nova cover the casual end; Nómada the drinks. Day-trip the Ruta de las Flores and Santa Ana volcano — the country is small enough to see properly.

We stayed at the InterContinental near Metrocentro Mall and spent most evenings hunting down the city's best casual eats, from Al Pomodoro's Italian to El Café de Don Pedro's local staples.
