We ate at 7 restaurants in Lviv, Ukraine—from ribs at Arsenal to the surreal Kryivka bunker—plus 4 bars, 2 cafes, and a chocolate atelier. Here's where we went in spring 2023.
Lviv in spring 2023 was defiantly, movingly alive: coffee mines, chocolate ateliers, ribs at Arsenal, and Pravda's brewery anthems on the square. The old town's Habsburg bones survived everything the twentieth century threw at them.
We spent days wandering between 7 restaurants and 4 bars, descending into bunker-themed Kryivka, savoring handmade chocolate, and walking it all off in Stryiskyi Park. When this war is won, go—and until then, remember it's there.
