Copenhagen — Where We Ate & Drank

Copenhagen travel guide

We ate and drank our way through 19 restaurants and 10 bars in Copenhagen, from Sushi Anaba by the harbor to Geranium's three Michelin stars and late nights at Pulp bar.

Copenhagen in August — jazz festival trailing off, harbor swims still on — set a high bar for city summers. Sushi Anaba out by the water was the meal of the trip; CopenHill let us drink on a power station's roof; and 13 Michelin-starred saves say the rest. It's an expensive city; the hot-dog stands are the great equalizer.

We covered 19 restaurants and 10 bars across our stay, from The Olive Kitchen & Bar to King Hans Cellar, with side trips to Rosenborg Castle and Hotel D'Angleterre. Every spot below is somewhere we actually went.
